Primary Art Experience
Variety of art experiences to give students the happy feelings of creative expression in a small
cohort of art friends. Skill and age level appropriate projects developing painting, drawing, mixed
media, ceramics, cutting, crafts, etc. Max 6 children, room for 1 parent at workstation.
Winter 5 classes plus 1 free during pandemic, Wednesdays 1-2 pm and/or Sundays at 1pm
Spring 5 classes plus 1 free during pandemic, Wednesdays 1-2 pm and/or Sundays at 1pm
Group 1: Pre-K & Kindergarten ages 3,4,5yr (ask about Parent and Me option)
Group 2: Primary grades ages 6,7,8yr
NEW! Adult Thursday Seminars
Join us in an enlightening discussion with other emerging artists and art
appreciators. Guest speakers will be scheduled to speak, demonstrate, and
showcase their specialty. A list of seminar topics will be posted on the website
with a minimum and maximum of attendees per speaker with registration
allowed up to 3 days before seminar. The first speaker in April will be Karl
Findeison, custom framer speaking on conservation framing, process of framing
art, answering your questions and offering tips. Bring a piece you are considering
preserving to share and discuss options. Invitations have been sent out to
painters, animal portrait artist, quilter, ceramicist, fiber artist, illustrator, art
therapist as we continue to expand our offerings. Send your suggestions.

Adult Open Studio Wednesdays
Need a break to pursue your creative self in a relaxing environment? Come join our
Wednesday evening Art Studio. Each week will have a different art theme. For
example: Draw, Paint, Sculpt, Design using our materials, expertise, storage, and
workshop space. Steal time for yourself! Artist(s) will be available for instruction or
guidance as needed. Individualized project development, collaboration options,
resources to share. Work in a studio environment on your own creative idea and art
medium. Store your ongoing projects here and utilize our optional showcase.

Youth Saturday Class
Art class for students that are missing in-person hands-on art projects in a variety of
forms. Join us for some creative fun! This Saturday class is ongoing which means we
are here every weekend, students come and go as their schedule allows 5 classes for
$225 and 1 bonus class free.
Ceramics has been our main interest area with instruction in basic slab, coil and pinch
methods of hand building. Students are encouraged to express their creative ideas on
canvas, learn brush styles and color theory, study still life, learn from famous artists'
styles, sketch and draw during lessons on perspective, animal form and textures,
human proportion, Enjoy the small group interaction while making projects in a studio
environment. (Covid Precautions followed, so wear a mask and a big art T-shirt)

Saturday Adult Group Arts
Need a creative outlet? A time for you to relax, sip coffee and let the artistic ideas flow?
Reawaken the artist in you and join instructor Beth Valitski for a variety of art
experiences by interest: ceramics*, painting, oil painting, pastels, drawing
techniques, colored pencil portraits (guest artist) and others by request. Claywork has
been our favorite this year! Come make ceramics or sculpture and then switch off for a
satisfying morning of painting or drawing. Enjoy our small group discussions, work on
learning new techniques, experiment, and get the satisfaction of making a thing of
beauty with your own hands. Sign up for a 5 classes + 1 free class during the pandemic
for only $225.00 or sign-up on a week by week basis for $48 drop-in rate.
Ceramics* are clay pieces fired to a hard durable "bisque" then "glazed" with a powdered glass
paint which is fired again to create a hard, slick, waterproof, brilliant colored surface.

Learn basic macrame knots and turn them into fun christmas ornaments for your tree. The workshop will begin with a step by step demonstration on how to do the knots and then have guided instruction as you create a pattern of your own taking home three ornaments and a great diy gift idea for friends and family.

Elementary Art- Saturdays (Fall Session #1)
This provides your kid(s) with the opportunity to attend exploratory classes, which focuses on Drawing and Painting in small groups. With all the art tools provided, this class will teach techniques, will build artistic literacy, and develop creative problem-solving skills.

Students will use a variety of materials: wood, clay, wire, paper, plastic, etc, to create 3-Dimensional artwork. They will have fun learning techniques of sculpture, terms, and styles. Works by famous artists will be studied. If you like to build things, come sculpt with us! Our instructor is a teacher in the West Chester School District.
